The Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) held a 3 day missile maneuver codenamed Payambar-e A’zam (Grand Prophet-7) in the east and southeast of Iran and successfully test fired tens of domestically made missiles on the hypothetical enemy targets. The IRGC war games were started on July 2 and wrapped up on July 4 by obtaining all pre-planned targets. On the first day of the war games all units and missile bases participating in the drill tested their preparedness and transportation ability to reach the pre-determined positions. In the main stage of Grand Prophet-7 drill, dozens of indigenous long range, medium range and short range missiles including Shahab (Meteor) 1, 2, 3, Khalij Fars (Persian Gulf), Tondar (Thunderbolt), Fateh (Victorious), Zelzal (Earthquake) and Qiam (Uprising) were fired at mock targets during the three-day drill. The IRGC jetfighters and drones also hit and destroyed spots in southeastern Kavir-e-Lut Desert and central Dasht-e-Kavir Desert. In the last stage of the maneuver, the Persian Gulf missile was successfully test-fired onto a specified marine target. The terminating stage of bombing pre-planned targets was successfully carried out by the IRGC aerospace fighters and unmanned planes. Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, after successful firing of different types of ballistic missiles in Grand Prophet-7 drill, said that missiles with the range of 2000 kilometers were used in the war game, adding that the missiles were fired from different parts of Iran and successfully hit the pre-planned targets of the bases of the hypothetical enemy. The goals of the maneuver were to destroy the hypothetical bases of trans-regional forces via simultaneous firing of missiles from different places and showing the efficiency of Iranian missiles. High velocity, radar evasion and preciseness were among the qualities of these missiles. The war game was to show part of Iran’s missile capabilities acquired after the victory of the Islamic revolution much to the chagrin of the enemies and ill-wishers. Thank God, the Islamic Iran has always gained spectacular successes in different fields including defense and military part of which was put on display on the Grand Prophet-7 drill. Iran defense and military might has always been upgraded and the different drills of the Iranian armed forces, including the recent Grand Prophet-7 missile drill, have carried the message of peace and friendship for the neighboring and regional states. The Islamic Republic of Iran’s military and political officials have many times stressed that Iran’s defense and military measures pose no threat to any neighboring or regional state; they rather show Iran’s defense capability for countering the enemies’ probable attacks. As Deputy Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps IRGC Brigadier General Hussein Salami also emphasized that the Grand Prophet-7 war games indicate the political will of the Iranian nation to defend the vital values and national interests which had been symbolized through application of different missiles. The important point on Iran’s increasing capabilities in defense and military fields is that these capabilities have been attained despite tough sanctions and today the Islamic Republic of Iran is able to produce different hi-tech and sophisticated types of missiles. With trust in God and reliance on national power Iran has passed the enemies’ anti-missile capabilities and they cannot take uncalculated measure against Iran. Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi says enemies of the Islamic Republic should wait its crushing response in case of any military attack against the country. The achievements of the Iranian researchers, which were displayed in Grand Prophet-7 drill, have been widely reflected by the world media. They assessed the war game as a show of Iran’s defense might in countering threats. AP, the British daily Guardian, the US daily Christian Science Monitor and the regional media reported that Iran’s defense power has increased and the Iranian armed forces can hit the US military bases in the region and the Zionist regime’s bases in the occupied Palestine in case of any likely attack by the Zionist army. Iran’s eye-catching defense and military breakthroughs have pushed the enemies back to a passive position; that’s why the US and Zionist officials lack a single conformed voice in expressing their viewpoint against Iran. So, their inability in estimating Iran’s defense capabilities and the scale of Iranian armed forces’ reaction to any likely threats is quite obvious.
