In its monthly report Ahrar center for human rights and prisoners studies stated that 292 Palestinians were arrested across the West Bank and the Gaza strip during October, in addition to 15 martyrs from the Gaza strip. Fuad al-Khuffash, the director of Ahrar center, said that 9 cases of arrest were from the Gaza strip and the rest 283 were from the West Bank, where many arrests took place at military checkpoints in the occupied West Bank. In October the highest numbers of detainees were from Jerusalem. According to Ahrar Center there were 103 detention cases were in Jerusalem including 17 children, 5 women one of them is prisoner Mohammad Abu Warda’s wife Noora al-Jabari. In comparing between September and October there was an increase in detention numbers. In September it was 246 detentions, Fuad al-Khuffash indicated. Fuad al-Khuffash said that Israeli occupation forces seize West Bank citizens in the morning and night; raid houses after midnight and terrorize kids. “Some detainees were released, some are still being interrogated, others were transferred to Administrative Detention” al-Khuffash added.
