Iran’s Majlis Speaker, Ali Larijani, said in city of Karaj today that 34 years after the victory of Islamic Revolution the Iranian nation continues to stand firm and steadfast against the dictatorial attitude of the US and the West, thereby foiling their plots. in a ceremony commemorating schoolboy Martyr, Seyyed Mohammad Hussein Fahmideh and 36000 students who achieved martyrdom during the 8-year war imposed on Iran by the US through Saddam in the 1980s, he said the US and the west, despite their propaganda against Iran’s peaceful nuclear programme, know they are telling lies, because of the fact that Iran doesn’t allow them to dominate the region. Larijani further reiterated that western regimes are terrified of the influence of Islamic Iran on the Islamic Awakening sweeping the region and the fact that a small group like – Lebanon’s legendry anti-terrorist movement – Hezbullah heavily slapped the illegal Zionist entity in its face. He said the Iranian nation has firmly stood against the arrogant powers to foil their plots, and the reason why the western regimes make loudmouthed threats against Iran without daring to carry them out, is because of the might of the Iranian nation, of which they are scared stiff.
