Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman says the Islamic Republic's stances toward the issues of Syria are crystal clear, despite ambiguous positions by some regional countries. addressing domestic and foreign reporters, Ramin Mehmanparast talked about presence of Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi at the last night's meeting in Cairo, Ramin Mehmanparast said there may be differences of viewpoints in such a meetings; however, due solutions should be adopted through consultations and exchanges of views. He said improper conditions in Syria today is in fact as a result of foreign intervention and paradoxical behaviour by certain states and political currents. The Iranian spokesman warned that continuation of conflicts in Syria will not be to the benefit of any one and that it may spread into other countries. Ramin Mehmanparast said security for the people and maintenance of tranquility and political stability in Syria is a policy pursued by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
