Cable News Network distorted the remarks by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made during a press conference held Saturday. The president, talking to domestic and foreign reporters, said the peaceful use of nuclear energy is a right which Iran cannot be denied. However, a CNN interpreter unprofessionally distorted President Ahmadinejad`s statement by quoting him as saying ”the use of nuclear weapons is Iran`s right.” Ahmadinejad, in the press conference, reminded that Iran is a nation rich in culture, civilization and history, and added that a cultured and civilized nation would have no need for nuclear weapons.”
